A Long Needed Update!!

Not sure how many people read/even follow my blog over here, but thought I’d give a quick little update!

We are married!

It was incredible!

Everything turned out fantastic and great, and I couldn’t have asked for a better day!

The biggest reason for this update here, I am switching my blog over to a new one…. wwww.ashhonkblog.wordpress.com

Nothing there as of yet, but I’ll eventually put all of my DIY things over there and try to consolidate everything into one place.

I hope.

So as I work on that, here are one or two pictures from our wedding:

100 Days of Wedding

So whoa. It’s been quite a while since I have updated this thing. So much for updating every day and telling y’all what has been going on.

And seriously, so much has been going on!

We have only a couple of weeks until our big move to Ohio. I am in the process of boxing up all of our stuff, going through and finding stuff to sell at our garage sale, and making sure everything is set and ready to go for our wedding!

DIY things I have going on:  a few sparkled frames for the photo booth and advice cards, centerpieces, glasses for parents, ceremony programs, tags for the candy buffet… ohmigosh! The list is endless!! I am finishing up the projects though and hope to have them complete by the end of next week. I’ll have to try to post photos so you guys can see all of this stuff I have been working on!

RSVPs are coming in S L O W L Y! I have had several people tell us they’ve LOST their invitations and so they text, email, tell  someone that they are coming and what food they want. Ya know, it kinda hurts my feelings that I spend ALL that time to make such amazing invitations, and people lose them. Dammit man. But hey, as long as they are there and celebrate in our day, that’s all that matters, right?

I’ve got our basic timeline figured out for the day of, and have some meetings scheduled to figure out the little odds and ends to make the day run smoothly. Hopefully it all does!!

Sorry this is so short, but it’s crunch time and I need to go work on some projects!!

Y’all have a fabulous day!

-Ashley

So, I have been quite busy between work and wedding things and family things, I feel like I hardly have time to update!

So, luckily I got out of work at a decent time tonight and I can catch y’all up on all the wedding happenings.

Things I have worked on:

Place Cards:  I have all of the numbers cut with the cricut, and they’re all glued together. Now, I just have to wait til after we send invitations and start getting RSVPs back so I can start working on the seating chart and finishing my idea.

Thank You Cards:  I have the red parts of the cards cut now, and all that needs to be done is glueing them to the grey cards. I love them and thy’re gonna be awesome!

Candy Buffet Banner:  I have had this designed for a while now, and now it’s been painted onto the fabric!! It’s all dried and amazing, and I just need to get a few other things painted to that I can use the sewing machine. I am a bit worried about the sewing machine. I tend to not get along with it… Dun dun dun

Sparkle Shoes:  they’re done!! I adore them and want to wear them all the freaking time!

Wedding Band:  My second wedding band came in! We went and picked it up last night. I seriously ADORE it! The entire set looks amazing together, and I am so so so so so happy that we decided to get it.

Bridal Pictures:  My mom had the awesome idea of me and my niece, our flower girl, to have pictures taken together. The reason for this is because her dress is the miniature version of my wedding dress. Sooooo… we are gonna do that next week at Sears. I am also gonna include Landen (ring bearer and my nephew) and my seester in the photos too. I am excited to do this with them, but it sucks bc I won’t be able to share the photos til after the wedding, since Jason can’t see the dress!

Now, I am printing the place cards with the names on them so I can start to cut those tomorrow (we are going to Tampa for a Rays game) in the car.

I have been quite productive, and I am super happy about it. My goal is to have it all finished by the end of the month. I hope. haha!

Happy weekend!!

Happy Labor Day y’all!

It’s been pretty productive around here lately with wedding things, and I finished a couple of projects today!! Hurrah!

;

First, I got our corn hole boards done. I got our names on the second one, and then added the top glossy coat to make them shiny. They look fabulous, and I am so happy to have them done!

Then, I finished my shoes!!! I decided a while back that I wanted to strass a second pair of shoes. Well, I found the perfect pair at David’s Bridal, and they’re completely blinged out and amazing now!!

Now, I am working on sparkling the top of our lollipop stand, and then IDK where I will go from there!

I am just so happy to be checking things off of my list!

Here’s a photo of my finished shoes!!

100 Days of Wedding- Day 71

Quite a productive day for us today!

First off, Go Bucks! Awesome game today!

We got up super early and went to my sister’s house because she was having a garage sale. We did quite well, making a little over $100!! Not terrible for one day! We also went to my Granny’s for dinner tonight to celebrate my daddy’s birthday.

Wedding related:  let’s see….. I am working on my second shoe. I have the lining fully done, and am now filling in the shoe. It is awesome because the lining takes forever to do, and the filling in goes so quickly. I am hoping to have it finished by the end of the week.

I have our ceremony programs completely designed and made a mock up to show Jason. I absolutely ADORE it and am super happy with how they turned out!

I just finished picking photos for our centerpieces!  I got the vertical ones sized and ready to print, and I’ll do the horizontal ones soon.

Gonna continue watching this Reds game now! Happy weekend y’all!

100 Days of Wedding- Day 72

So today closes out my damn week of 8 hour shifts. I was most definitely productive with wedding things.

Today: I got all of the thank you cards cut. I HATE new Cricut mats though. They’re so sticky that my paper curls and now I have it sitting under heavy stuff so that it straightens out. Luckily, I don’t need these til after the wedding.

I also got all of the red numbers cut for the place cards. I started working on the grey numbers, and they are proving to be a bit of a pain bc of the new Cricut mat, but hey, they’ll be worth it in the end.

I also started to design our ceremony programs. I have a great idea for them, and I hope it all translates bc I love the idea.

I got the signs designed for the “here comes the bride” sign and the “love is sweet” signs. As well as the lettering for the cornhole board.

I painted a small box that I am going to be using for my day of stuff (like my garter and jewelry) and designed a “bride” sign to jewel on it.

So yeah. Productive day. Yet another day with no COMPLETED projects, but I am making progress that makes me incredibly happy!

Very happy with my wedding progress today!

I completely 100% finished our tears of joy packets and I LOVE them! It’s such a great personal touch. Yay to Jason for wanting them!

I also am starting to glue the numbers onto the escort cards!! Yay progress!

Lets see… I got all of the red parts of our thank you’s cut with the Cricut and started to cut the grey parts.

Talked to a friend at work today about our honeymoon. Got all kinds of great ideas for our time in NYC.

Honey Boo Boo is on now though, and that needs my attention! hahaha
